Feasibility Study for the Density Increase at the Börger-Breddenberg Wind Farm, Lower Saxony

At the Börger-Breddenberg wind farm, a total of four existing turbines are to be dismantled and replaced with new wind turbines. For the new sites, corresponding soil investigations were conducted using core penetration tests, heavy penetration tests, and cone penetration tests (CPT). The objective of the project commissioned by Enercon GmbH, Bunderhee, was to design the foundations for the planned wind turbines as cost-effectively as possible. Based on the soil conditions encountered and the results of the bearing capacity tests, the impulse compaction method was applied.

Advantages:

The depth of penetration of the impulse compaction extends to approximately 5 m and 7 m below ground level
