Our strength – effective networking for power line expansion

Efficient planning and implementation of large-scale projects require collaboration—across locations and well-coordinated. Through networked collaboration, we are driving the expansion of transmission grids forward, drawing on our many years of experience with major projects such as the current Rhine-Main Link. In doing so, we combine our expertise in soil protection, geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, and data management.

A look at our team work

The expansion of supra-regional power lines is among the key infrastructure projects of our time – and we are actively helping to shape it. Through modern planning, sound expertise and a well-connected team, we assume responsibility in all project phases. Specialized knowledge, smooth communication and precise coordination are the key to meeting the wide-ranging demands of such projects.

For several years now, we have been working in a closely interconnected way on demanding power line projects. In doing so, we have gained a wealth of insights and continuously refined our methods. Every project presents new challenges, but our networked approach to working has proven to be stable and sustainable.

In the process, we have covered all key aspects of planning and implementation: from preparing geotechnical and hydrogeological reports to developing soil protection concepts and providing soil science construction supervision – always in close coordination with stakeholders from different locations and disciplines.

Networked collaboration – our success model

Our expertise is based on contributions from various branch offices. This consolidated transfer of knowledge enables us to respond flexibly and efficiently to changes, even in long-running projects. Structural adjustments and team changes are reliably absorbed by the robust framework of our established way of working.

Our total of 11 participating locations – from Hamburg to Freiburg and from Ravensburg to Merseburg – are crucial to our success. This geographical distribution allows us to pool expertise in a targeted manner, leverage synergies and design processes efficiently across all sites.

A major part of our success lies in the use of modern technologies:

  • Data management and IT: In our projects, we process vast amounts of data, including thousands of boreholes and results from soil mapping. Digital tools such as GIS systems, databases and structured workflows ensure high data quality and fast availability.
  • Digital communication: SharePoint, structured data storage and regular Teams meetings are essential to ensuring that our decentralized collaboration runs smoothly.

The implementation of measures in highly sensitive and technically demanding areas, such as the North German marshlands with their settlement-sensitive soils and complex groundwater conditions, illustrates how closely soil, water and environmental aspects are interconnected in our projects. Together with our clients and within interdisciplinary teams, we have developed innovative solutions, such as the optimization of dewatering measures to minimize environmental impacts.

Teamwork and corporate culture

The major power line projects of the past seven to eight years have shaped our way of working and replaced the mindset of individual locations. Today, joint project success is at the forefront, which has strengthened not only collaboration but also our sense of togetherness as a company.

Our goal remains clear: to drive the on-schedule and sustainably successful expansion of power lines and thus ensure a reliable energy supply for the future.
